Manage store collaborators

Assign organization members to managed stores and control their store permissions.

A managed store is a client-owned store that has approved collaborator access for your partner organization. Organization membership, organization permissions, and assignment to a client store are separate.

Assign a member to a store#

  1. The organization owner opens Stores → Managed Stores and selects Manage Team for the store.

  2. In Store Team, open Members and select Assign Member.

  3. Choose a member of your organization. Invite them to the organization first if they are not listed.

  4. Select the permissions they need from those the store owner granted to your organization.

  5. Save the assignment. The assigned member can then open Store Admin for the work their permissions allow.

Review the access the client granted#

The Organization Access tab shows the permissions granted to your organization. You can assign only permissions within that grant. For additional or changed work, use Request permission changes from Managed Stores and explain what should change. The store owner reviews the request. Approved additions become available for assignment; they are not automatically added to each person. Removed permissions are removed from assigned collaborators, and a collaborator left with no permissions loses their store assignment.

Change or remove an assignment#

The organization owner can edit an assigned member’s store permissions or remove them from the store team. Keep assignments current when a project ends or someone changes responsibilities. Removing a store assignment does not remove the person from your organization.

Leave a managed store#

When the organization no longer needs access, remove every assigned collaborator from Members first. Then use Leave Store and complete the confirmation shown. Leaving ends the organization’s access; it does not delete the client’s store or anyone’s Tringify account. You must request access and receive approval again before returning.

Troubleshooting#

  • If a person cannot be selected, check that they have joined the organization and are not already assigned.

  • If a permission is unavailable, compare it with Organization Access.

  • If an assignment is blocked by a limit, review the organization’s current usage in Settings and limits.

  • If your organization loses store access, ask the client to review its collaborator access before changing team assignments.

If the client changes your access#

The store owner can reduce your organization’s permission grant. Every assigned collaborator immediately loses permissions removed from that grant. The owner can also remove individual collaborators. Review Organization Access before reassigning anyone; neither a partner role nor an assignment can exceed the client’s grant.

A collaborator can leave their own store assignment from the partner portal. That removes their access to this store, not their organization membership. To remove the organization’s access, all its collaborators must have left or been removed first.
