A transfer store is a store you build for a client from Partner Portal. It belongs to your partner organization while you build, and to your client after a completed handoff.
Create a transfer store#
In Partner Portal, choose the organization building the store and open Stores. Select Create Store.
In Client billing, choose the client’s billing country and the billing currency offered for that country. This currency is used for the client’s Tringify subscription.
Enter a store name and available Store URL, choose the storefront currency, and choose a plan offered in the client’s billing currency. The storefront currency and subscription billing currency are separate choices.
Select Create store and follow the setup progress. Once setup completes, use Open Store Admin to begin work.
Review the Build period and extensions page for the deadline in your organization’s timezone, then read the test-payment and handoff limits below.
Plan and limits#
The store uses the plan you choose for your client, with that plan’s limits. No subscription charge is collected while you build.
Marketing email and custom domains stay off until the store is handed off.
The storefront is password-protected while you build.
Test payments and orders#
Transfer stores take test payments only. The Tringify test gateway, Test Payment Provider, is installed and enabled automatically. Cash on delivery, bank transfer, and Mark as paid aren’t available, and live-mode payment connections can’t be enabled until the store is handed off.
Every order is a test order, including orders created in Store Admin. To pay one, send a payment link and pay it with the test gateway. Test orders are never sent to fulfillment or shipping apps.
To open the password-protected storefront, select View Store in the Store Admin sidebar or View storefront in Online Store. The link works once and keeps the storefront open on that device for 12 hours.
Build period#
Each transfer store has three calendar months to build, starting when you create it. The store’s Build period page in Partner Portal shows the deadline in your organization’s timezone.
Request an extension#
Open the store’s Build period page. An organization owner or admin can request an extension.
Choose a new end date after the current deadline. One extension can add up to one month.
Explain what remains to finish for your client, then select Request extension.
Tringify reviews each request. The current deadline stays in effect until a request is approved, and you can withdraw a request while it is under review. A store can have at most two approved extensions.
When the build period ends#
At the deadline, the storefront and checkout are locked. You then have 60 days to get an extension approved or hand off the store. If neither happens, the store and its data are deleted permanently. An approved extension unlocks the store until its new deadline.
Tringify emails your organization when the store is locked, and 14 days and 3 days before it is deleted. You can still create and complete a handoff while the store is locked.
When the store is ready, follow Deliver a store. For ongoing work after ownership changes, request collaborator access.
Schedule or cancel deletion#
To delete a store from the portal, select Delete Store, type its subdomain, and verify your identity with one of your available verification methods. Deletion is scheduled for seven days after confirmation. The store entry shows the scheduled date and Cancel deletion. You can cancel until that time. No permanent cleanup starts during the cancellation window.
After the scheduled time, the store shows Being deleted until deletion finishes, then disappears from the list. Deletion cannot be cancelled once it starts. A requested deletion does not change the store’s existing build-expiry policy.
